Terms of use.

Plain terms for using ARC OS in your shop.

ARC OS is provided by ARC AI, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Last updated 31 October 2026.

The trial

A new shop can try ARC OS free for 3 days with everything switched on. We set the trial up with you when we install ARC OS. One trial per mobile number and per computer. No payment details are needed.

Licences

  • A licence is for one shop business, for 3, 6 or 12 months, with the staff accounts, tills and branches of its plan.
  • The licence is entered as a key in the app. Each till computer is activated with it, up to the plan's number of tills.
  • When a licence ends, the app gives a short grace period and then stops new sales until it is renewed. The shop can always export its data, whatever the licence says.

AI credits and messages

The AI assistant and WhatsApp, SMS and email messages are paid from the shop's prepaid credit wallet, separately from the licence. The app shows the price before an answer and every charge in Credits and usage. Purchased credits have an expiry date, shown in the app.

Your data

The shop owns the data it enters. ARC OS keeps and processes it only to provide the service, as the privacy page explains. The shop is responsible for having its customers' consent for marketing messages, and the app records that consent.

Using ARC OS fairly

  • Do not use ARC OS for anything unlawful, or to send messages people did not agree to receive.
  • Do not try to get around the licence, the trial limits or another shop's security.
  • Keep your owner password and staff PINs private, and switch on two-step sign-in where the app offers it.

What we look after

We keep ARC OS running, fix faults and send updates. The till is built to keep selling when the internet or our service is down, and to upload when it is back. We cannot promise the service is never interrupted, and we are not responsible for losses caused by hardware, power or internet faults at the shop.

Changes

If these terms change, we will say so in the app before the change applies to your shop.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
