Set up a network receipt printer.

A receipt printer on the shop network (a cable to the router) is the most reliable: every till can use it and it never needs a driver.

  1. Connect the printer to the router with a network cable and switch it on.
  2. Print its self-test page (hold the FEED button while switching it on). The page shows its IP address, for example 192.168.1.87.
  3. In the router's settings, give the printer a fixed address (DHCP reservation) so it never changes.
  4. In ARC OS: Settings, Hardware, Receipt printer. Choose Network, enter the IP address and port 9100, the paper width (80 or 58 mm), then Test print.

If the test does not print: check that the computer and the printer are on the same network (the first three numbers of the address match), and that the printer is not asleep.
